FindAConnection

Your next community is already out there.
We'll help you find it.

Finding your people has gotten challenging.

Somewhere along the way, the places people naturally gathered started to fade. Neighborhood hangouts. Community events. Shared routines. The small connections that once happened without effort became harder to find.

FindAConnection helps people reconnect with the kinds of places where conversations, friendships, and shared interests still happen: local events, online communities, volunteer opportunities, hobby groups, meetups, and welcoming spaces built around shared interests, causes, and curiosities.

Recent transplant or traveling? FindAConnection helps to locate the scene that suits you. From star parties and blues festivals to sunrise hikes, movie nights in the park, or Veterans bingo. Maybe a quiet local landmark; the kind of place where people still gather to read, talk, or just exist together for a while. Whether you're new, starting over, isolated, feeling cabin fever, or simply looking for people who share your interests, connection is not impossible to find.

You filter for what fits. We'll help you find it.

Examples of what you can find

Local events Things happening nearby — open to newcomers and easy to explore
Online communities Groups that meet where you are, wherever that is
Interest groups Astronomy, art, sports, DIY projects, cooking, history, music, and more
Shared experience networks Veterans, caregivers, recovery groups, parents, and mutual support
Volunteer opportunities Blood drives, volunteer builds, community gardens, mentorships, local outreach
Community spaces Libraries, community centers, and places built for people to gather

Some communities are harder to find.

If your results feel thin, we hear you. It's why this tool came about, but we can only surface what's been shared. Maybe you are someone who knows of a local activity. User-added listings, even unverified ones, give your neighbors something to find. We'll clearly label what we can verify and identify what listings rely on user input.

In the meantime, the online communities have no zip code. We'll always have something worth finding, even where the local map is still being drawn.

We're working to partner with libraries, VA centers, and civic organizations to help fill community gaps. If you represent one of them, we'd love to hear from you.
